So
What Exactly is Knowledge?
We believe that Knowledge differs from information.
We believe that while information can be codified, stored & transmitted,
knowledge can only exist in the mind of a living creature. Information
only becomes knowledge via the learning process and this requires us to
understand, feel and empathise with the information before it becomes
knowledge in our own mind.
Because
'knowledge' has such a personal and human aspect to it, we believe that
the knowledge environment must focus on networks of people and not simply
enterprise tools and repositories.
What is a Knowledge Environment?
A knowledge environment delivers value to an organization by increasing
its ability to learn and be productive.
It does this by:-
o Fostering an appropriate culture
o Facilitating collaboration
o Fostering the sharing of knowledge between
projects
Inherant Cultural Knowledge
Organisational
culture is in itself tacit knowledge and is arguably the most distinctive
and valuable asset that an organisation has. If your organisational culture
could serve you better then vision and leadership will be required to
change this. Don’t ignore culture simply because measurement is
difficult. CPMS can help you develop a program that identifies gaps in
the way your organisation shares knowledge and measures it’s benefit.
A knowledge network is more powerful than knowledgeable individuals.
CPMS can help you achieve your goals so call to discuss your needs.
